Yes, here at Tiggles & Giggles we offer all our parents a settling in period for their child(ren). The settling in period is made up of three days and is organised upon the completion of contract and essentially before your child’s agreed start date. The first day of the settling in is two hours in the nursery both parent and child. The second day of settling in is one hour with parent and one hour child only and the third day of settling in is two hours on their own. If your child does have difficulty settling the Childminder will work in partnership with the parent and discuss the next steps to ease the child’s transition into home away from home life. There is also the option not to have settling in, but this is down to the individual parents/carers.
Yes, Tiggles & Giggles will take on your child if they have allergies. A care plan is provided when completing your contract to let us know what actions you take in the case of an emergency and if any medications are needed for the child they need to be provided for the setting before or on your child’s first day.
At Tiggles & Giggles we aim to protect all our children who have allergens. To avoid any problems in our home we do not allow food to be brought in. Due to their age, they may not be of an understanding to why they cannot have certain foods. All food is prepared on site and made separately from the rest of the meals.
We work in partnership with our parents and our parents are welcome to call as many time as they like during their child's time within our care. Daily update Via text/What's App of the child's daily activities, toileting, meals, sleeps, and any additional information needed to be passed on. The staff also inform parents at the door of the child's day and notify them of anything else they need to know.
We ask that all our children bring the following items in with them each day. Please ensure all items are clearly named. Please ask your nursery manager about our nursery backpacks for all your little one’s belongings.
• Two full sets of spare clothes
• Outdoor shoes/boots
• Warm suitable coat, gloves, and hat
• Sun hat for the summer months.
Babies and Toddlers
• Bottles – please label these clearly
• A comforter if needed (we will take good care of these, we know how important they are)
• Preferred nappy cream if our cream is not suitable.
Tiggles & Giggles uses Baby’s Days App because it is the only system available that allows you as the parent to connect to the system to view information relating to your child, for example you can connect to the system and view your child’s daily diaries, photographs, their overall progress achievement and much more
Each child needs a contract and needs to be completed by their parent/carer. We are now doing contracts online and can be sent to you via email.
